Test Product: Dairy Manure

Weather: Clear Day , No Clouds , Cool

Test #1: Tested at the top of the manhole when filling. The 8" pump was filling at full speed and the test filter was placed at the opening just below the wind.

465 CO ppm 151 H2S ppm 20.9 O2 ppm

Conclusion: Do not stand up near the fill hole while filling!

Test #2: Tested in the manure spreader at the bottom of the tank right after the load was emptied through the fan.

30 CO ppm 70 H2S ppm 20.9 O2 ppm

Conclusion: Do not enter a spreader with fresh manure in it!

Test #3: Tested in the manure spreader at the bottom of the tank after the load was emptied and left to drain for 5 minutes through the 3" opening.

30 CO ppm 25 H2S ppm 20.9 O2 ppm

Conclusion: Do not enter a spreader after the manure has been drained!

Allowable limits:

 One Time Level 8 Hour Day

19 CO ppm 15 H2S ppm 25 H2S ppm ( go home for the day)
